Bowling For Good Friends With Autism
Aloha, Aloha, Aloha!
Once again CPI participated in the annual Good Friend Inc. Aloha Bowling event to raise money for autism awareness. And once again we were the best team . . . okay maybe I’m going a bit too far . . . let’s just say fun was had by all!
Team Klitzkie and Team Frazier walked away sharing the prize for best costume. I believe this is CPI’s fifth nomination and third win in the best costume category, though we had fierce competition—check out the teams on the Good Friend Inc. Facebook page. Julie Schramka had the CPI high score of a whopping 155, nearly doubling her brother’s (me) two-game total. However, not all was lost as I did squeak out a one-pin win against my three-year-old niece Claire. Boom!
If you didn’t make it to Aloha Bowling or aren’t in the area, you can still donate or shop in their store for resources and apparel. Also read “Ten Things Every Child With Autism Wishes You Knew” by Ellen Notbohm.
What are you doing to support autism awareness?
Good Friend Inc. is a local nonprofit that works to create autism awareness, acceptance and empathy in local schools. CPI is proud to support the Good Friend mission as this is the 6th consecutive year of participation in the Aloha Bowling event. Jeff is determined to practice in the off season in order to break a 100 score next event.
