 Building a Beneficial Bond: The Teacher-Student Relationship
When a student displays challenging behavior, how can her teacher develop a substantial, positive relationship to enhance learning at all levels?

The key is in the word “relationship.” Per Jessica R. Toste in an Education Canada article, “the classroom should be an environment that fosters strong and positive working relationships” that generate not only trust, but concrete social and academic skills. The emotional, often protective bond that forms between teacher and student is but one step toward working on classroom and personal goals.
