On September 21, 2009, CPI’s Chief Executive Officer, Tony Jace, and CPI’s Director of Client Services, Kendra Stea, made a presentation to the State Department of Education in Minnesota. Minnesota recently adopted their K-12 Education Omnibus Bill and was interested in learning more about how CPI’s Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® training program can assist Minnesota school districts in meeting the newly outlined requirements.
While the State Department of Education is not prepared to endorse a single training provider for state-wide use, they were appreciative of CPI’s willingness to meet with them about its programs and supporting products and services. The Department of Education hopes to create a list of providers to recommend as school districts come into compliance with the new regulations. Schools have until August 1, 2011 to be in full compliance with the new requirements.
