Domestic Violence Resources and References

domesticviolence.jpgDomestic violence is a serious problem that can have many effects on employees and their workplaces—effects such as absenteeism, tardiness, decreased productivity, increased turnover, and even incidents of abusive individuals harassing or attacking their partners at work.

As employees are an organization’s greatest assets, it is vital to foster the health and security of all within our workplaces. To assist you in promoting safety and decreasing the risks of domestic violence incidents occurring in the workplace, we offer two pieces, “Domestic Violence Statistics and Your Workplace,” which raises awareness about the effects of domestic violence, and “Domestic Violence Affects All of Us,” which discusses the importance of organizations developing policies and procedures for increasing workplace safety.

Additionally, the following articles and resources contain a wealth of information dedicated to helping prevent and address domestic violence issues. Please note that while CPI does not endorse these external resources, we believe that they may be helpful to you in your efforts to address this profound concern.
