Effective Student Management Techniques

Educators – those new to the profession and veteran teachers – are constantly looking for more effective student management techniques and classroom management strategies. The Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® training program provides a set of skills for educators to implement in their classroom that foster an environment of respect by embracing CPI’s core philosophy of Care, Welfare, Safety, and SecuritySM.

By learning how to identify behaviors that may escalate, and using the intervention strategies taught in the Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® training program, teachers are better able to manage classroom behaviors with a consistent and fair approach that maximizes efficiency and safety for everyone in the classroom.

Many schools utilize Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® training as a part of School Wide-Positive Behavior Support (SW-PBIS) strategies. The skills and strategies from this training are an integrated part of the SW-PBIS framework and can be utilized at all levels. Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® training provides a complimentary framework that helps staff respond to challenging behaviors in the most professional, supportive manner possible.
