Diagnostic Guidelines for Alzheimer’s Updated With Recent Advancements
Medical experts are updating diagnostic guidelines for Alzheimer’s disease to help physicians diagnose the disease earlier, according to an article in American Medical News. Since the original guidelines were published in 1984, scientists have determined that the genetic process of the disease appears years before symptoms start. They also have discovered that dementia can be caused by cerebrovascular disease, Lewy body disease, or other conditions other than Alzheimer’s. How do you express anger without becoming aggressive or damaging your professional image? The key is to separate the emotion of anger from the behavior that is often displayed. If you feel the need to express your anger to another individual, there are constructive ways to do so. Be direct and specific in your communication. Don’t blame others, and be sure to listen to the other individual’s response. Realize that the individual may have views that differ from your own.
