Our popular dementia training course for therapists, Dementia Therapy: Achieving Positive Outcomes for the Person With Dementia, has received a face-lift. This redesign offers the option to attend one day only (Foundation) or to attend two days (Dementia Therapy Applications). Additionally, modifications have been made to improve transfer of knowledge to the workplace.

The Foundation course provides all who work in dementia care a common framework about Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD), a best-abilities perspective, dementia stages, behavior management, and care techniques to promote the best ability to function.

Building on the Foundation, this course takes a deeper dive into therapy-specific information relative to assessment, care approaches, documentation, and maintenance programs.
