What Is the Association
The International Association of Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® Certified
Instructors (IANCICI®)
Anyone who successfully completes a Four-Day Instructor Certification
training program automatically receives membership status to IANCICI
and is entitled to special support, services, and benefits.
IANCICI's membership consists of dedicated human service and business
professionals around the world who are certified to deliver Nonviolent
Crisis Intervention® training, a program created to
build awareness and skills in the safe management of out-of-control
behavior. Developed nearly 30 years ago by the Crisis Prevention
Institute (CPI), the program is now considered the international
standard for violence prevention and intervention training.
IANCICI's Goals
- Formally validate a global standard for the safe management
of disruptive and assaultive behavior—a standard that was established
by those individuals who have become Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® Certified
Instructors—and by those organizations committed to its importance.
- Provide members with professional growth opportunities
by establishing a forum to exchange valuable information and
resources. The association also serves as a clearinghouse for
up-to-date information on best-practice strategies, legislative
issues, and other relevant professional resources.
- Serve as a positive voice and information broker,
opinion leader, and change agent when serious issues relating
to the management of disruptive and physically aggressive behavior
are brought to the forefront of legislation, regulation, and policy—locally
and around the world.

IANCICI's Advisory Board is comprised of advisors qualified in:
