Why we've partnered
In the US alone, there are 5.4 million people living with Alzheimer's disease and a new diagnosis is made every 68 seconds. As alarming as that is, our mutual vision for a world without Alzheimer's, along with our mission to enable those living with Alzheimer's to thrive at every stage, has brought us together.
The US government is engaged in the fight against Alzheimer's and working towards the creation of a National Alzheimer's Plan. We hope that the level of care provided by the dementia care workforce in Illinois can serve as an example as the US implements the National Plan to Address Alzheimer’s Disease.

We believe that every person living with Alzheimer’s and related dementias is unique.
We believe that individuality and abilities should be discovered, celebrated, and honored, and that you can help people live to their emotional, spiritual, and functional potential at every stage of the disease.
We want to enable individuals at every stage of the dementia continuum to stay successfully engaged in meaningful activity and to have healthy relationships.
As a result, measurable quality outcomes can be achieved.
- For the individual with dementia: optimize level of functional independence, health, safety and quality of life.
- For the business: improve quality outcomes/measures, better census (more business) through dementia specialization and/or discharges to another level of care or hospital, less staff turnover, and improved family, staff and surveyor satisfaction. Also decreased psychotropic drug use and increased service and revenue from therapy team.
- For families/loved ones: education, support, and improved relationship with loved one with dementia.
