“Be sure to celebrate when you catch situations early. Celebrate when you de-escalate. Make a big deal out of success. This will inspire your team to keep working hard at prevention.”

I had several hours between the end of a Denver program and a red-eye, so I went driving in the mountains of Evergreen, Colorado. I saw a giant elk in someone's yard, found a beautiful hiking trail with a scenic overlook and a waterfall, and happened upon a fantastic little pub with great local beer, bison burgers, and a 20-piece jazz band.
