I love the start of the baseball season because it means that summer is just around the corner. During the off-season teams evaluate their rosters and try to add to their lineup in an attempt to improve their overall team performance for the upcoming season.
All of the major league teams, and their fans, are full of optimism this time of year and the season is full of potential. Once opening day arrives, teams are excited to try and deliver on their potential and win games. At this point I can still be hopeful for a Minnesota Twins/Milwaukee Brewers World Series!
On a similar note, CPI strives to deliver value to the organizations that utilize our training programs. We’re always looking for ways to improve and it’s something we’ve tried to do for over 34 years. I’m proud to say that we’ve added to our lineup this spring—and not like the Brewers with Hank the dog
, as lovable as he is!
We have two new ventures that I’m excited to talk about. The first one is our CPI App
, which participants of our program will be able to download onto their iPhone or iPad. With the app, you can easily access core concepts from your Nonviolent Crisis Intervention®
training, video role-plays, and so much more. You’ll be able to review and reinforce what you’ve learned in class, 24/7. It’s like having your own CPI safety buddy.
I’m also pleased to say that we’ve signed a formal agreement to become the North American distributor for StealthWearTM Active AideTM
protective clothing. Those of you who work with individuals who exhibit frequent physical acting-out behavior will appreciate it. This product’s unique design allows you to verbally intervene with added confidence, and one of the great things about it is it looks like regular clothing, so it doesn’t cause anxiety with your clients.
I’m optimistic that we’re fielding the best team we’ve ever assembled at CPI, and I’ll do my best to make sure that we are providing you with the tools you need to help you do your job more effectively and with greater safety.
Here’s to your success for the remainder of 2014 and beyond.
