Louisiana’s Workplace Violence Prevention Act

By Crisis Prevention Institute | April 24, 2014 | Louisiana | Pending | 0 comments
The Healthcare Facilities Workplace Violence Prevention Act, or Louisiana House Bill 399, has been introduced to require healthcare facilities in Louisiana to establish violence prevention committees to create, review, administer, and provide guidance about programs on preventing workplace violence in healthcare facilities. Under the act, facilities would be required to:
  • Provide definitions of workplace violence.
  • Report workplace violence.
  • Provide employee training as appropriate.

We will continue to monitor the bill and post updates as it progresses through the Louisiana legislature.
