Get your motors runnin’—we’re revvin’ up for Conference! Our 2013 Instructors’ ACT Conference is taking place July 8–12 here in Milwaukee, WI. We’re all looking forward to gathering with our Certified Instructor attendees and helping them
Adapt,
Customize, and
Tailor the
Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® program content to boost relevance for the staff they train. Everyone is sure to take away valuable information, new skills and strategies, and strong relationships with other Instructors.
We’ve designed this Conference to help Instructors address some of the pressing issues facing their organizations. Instructors will be attending advanced training programs, special certificate seminars, and sessions that are specific to challenges their staff face, or that are specific to their development as trainers.
Instructors will also enjoy a variety of after-hours networking activities, including a tour of one of our city’s landmarks, Miller Brewery. And I’m especially excited about the Friday afternoon trip to our headquarters, where we’re all looking forward to having lunch with Instructors and showing them around the office. This visit will give Instructors the chance to engage with even more of our wonderful, caring staff who are all a vital part of our mission. Additionally, Instructors will have the chance to get their photo taken with me—to prove to their bosses that they were really here!
Attendees will also have a chance to visit the Hall of Merit here at CPI headquarters.
We’ve added 75 Certified Instructors to our Hall of Merit, which honors Instructors who show a commitment to the CPI Training Process and who advance our philosophy of
Care, Welfare, Safety, and SecuritySM for all. These Instructors join the ranks of others who serve in an advisory capacity to CPI and help us shape new initiatives.
Additionally, we’re excited about our campaign to acquire original artwork created by clients from our Instructors’ organizations. As you know, many organizations have art programs that inspire and promote client healing. We’re looking forward to decorating our walls with
your clients’ beautiful work.
I’m excited for this fun and educational event that’s designed to help Instructors from all over the world deepen the enrichment they and their colleagues bring to the people in their care. I’m looking forward to seeing those of you I met at our 2011 Conference in Orlando, and I can hardly wait to meet new Instructors as well.
If you’ll be at Conference, I encourage you to look for me and say “Hi”! Be sure to chat with as many of us as you can—we are all looking forward to connecting with you and hearing about how you make a difference in people’s lives.
Also keep an eye out for our Social Media Coordinator.
Becky Benishek will be tweeting live at the event, and encouraging you to tweet about Conference too. Just add the Conference hashtag #cpiconf to your updates.
