7 Instructors Share Seriously Good Reasons for Coming to Conference

More than 500 care professionals are gathering in New Orleans July 19–24 for the CPI Instructors’ Conference. Spots are filling up fast, but if these seriously good reasons to attend strike a chord, don’t worry—you can still grab a ticket!
So what’s this all about? We asked Certified Instructors in the Instructor Community to tell us why they can’t wait to come to Conference. Here are their responses:

Connect with others in my field

Certified Instructors don’t just work in education. You guys cover all the bases of professions dedicated to Care, Welfare, Safety, and Security℠. So Kyle says:
(By the way, Kyle also said he’s looking forward to his “early morning coffee in New Orleans, tickling my taste buds with different cuisines, and perhaps enjoying an evening or two out with some of you.” So if you’re an early bird, a foodie, or excited to meet other Instructors, be sure to look for Kyle!)

Experience enhanced

The enhancements we’ve made to the program are going to benefit you and your organization a ton with their added tools, greater depth, and wider reach. Certified Instructor Amy says:

Attend the awesome sessions

There really is something for everyone in the sessions we have planned. Topics include—but are by no means limited to—dealing with anger, domestic violence, power struggles, and burnout. Plus training like a pro. Analyzing staff needs. Mentoring other staff. Limiting risk and liability. And more. There’s so much good stuff, in fact, that Marliza says:

Check out the course on Trauma-Informed Care . . .  plus become a Master Level Instructor

In addition to training, sessions, networking, and lunch 'n learns, Conference also offers Advanced Course Tasters. These will give you an overview of loads of additional content that you can weave into your trainings. Topics include enhancing verbal skills, working with individuals on the autism spectrum, working with individuals with dementia and other cognitive challenges, and a subject that Friendoll's particularly excited about. . .

Meet people from the online Community

Friendoll has also been making connections and sharing strategies with fellow Instructors around the globe in the Instructor Community, so he says:

Experience a ton—including New Orleans

Karen can't wait to expand her training and check out the Big Easy.

Tracy, too, is excited for just about everything that Conference offers.

And Scott summed it all up beautifully:
