Vermont HB 74 passed the house on March 18, 2016 and is currently in effect. The bill requires:
  • The Agency of Human Services and all sub-agencies to establish a written workplace violence prevention and crisis response policy.
  • The policy to include:
    1. A system of centrally recording all incidents or threats of workplace violence.
    2. Measures the program intends to take to respond to violence or threats of violence. 
    3. A training program to educate employees on workplace violence and ways to reduce risk.
