How it Works
Seats give your participants access to the online portion of the program. After you purchase participant seats, CPI will email you letting you know that the seats have been added. Log in to My account and click on the My Classes icon on the right side of the page. Once in My Classes, you can see how many seats are available to you and any Instructor at your organization.
The seats that you purchase will be available for use by all Certified Instructors in your organization. If you are unsure of which other instructors will have access, please call customer support at 888.426.2184.
About Blended Delivery
The ONLINE Experience
The Blended Learning experience starts with your participants completing the online portion of the course, which introduces them to the basic concepts of Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® training. Features:
- Three different versions, each tailored to a work setting: Healthcare, Education, or Human Services. When you place your order, you will automatically receive the version appropriate to your work setting.
- Engaging video-based case scenarios which are used to present and explain The Crisis Development Model and The Verbal Escalation Continuum. Your staff will learn how to dissect a crisis moment and apply the appropriate intervention technique.
- Actual CPI Global Professional Instructors who serve as the program hosts. The online course is designed to mirror the classroom experience, so it’s easy for you to assign it to learners to shorten your classroom instruction – or to use it as a model as you prepare your classroom lectures.

The CLASSROOM Experience
In blended learning, your focus as a Certified Instructor shifts from delivery of knowledge to facilitating how to apply the knowledge to your unique environment. An Instructor Guide and Electronic Presentation specifically designed for blended delivery is provided in MyAccount.
Learners come to the classroom portion with a foundational knowledge (key terms and definitions) already in place. They will be prepared to discuss how they can apply the models and techniques learned, and they will practice these skills in the classroom.
The classroom is also where participants learn and safely practice any applicable physical disengagement and/or holding skills for managing risk behavior.
Participants Receive Blue Card™ Confirmation
When both the online and classroom portions are completed, you can sign and distribute participants' Blue CardTM confirmations, which are located in the back of each Participant Workbook
