Stress Reactions in Persons with Dementia
Have you heard that persons with dementia often experience behaviors during the course of the disease process? We (DCS) describe behaviors as stress reactions. The person is trying to communicate a discomfort or unmet need that they can no longer express verbally.
This webinar provides information on discovering the causes of stress reactions and what to do when you find the person in an agitated state. The webinar also examines methods to prevent/minimize stress reactions and promotes the concept that all stress reactions are communication.
