Dementia Capable Care Training
What is our training about?
Our person-centered approach helps you recognize, understand, and bring out the remaining abilities of an individual at every stage of dementia. With this knowledge, you can develop the skills and confidence to enhance quality of care, improve outcomes, manage regulations, and lessen risks for staff, your organization, and the individuals in your care.
In addition to training, we also offer you the opportunity to earn Dementia Care Specialist Certification as a way of demonstrating your commitment and leadership as a dementia care professional.
By working together with your interdisciplinary team, we can help ensure that all team members are on the same page. Our services can include a competency and/or needs assessment, training as follow-up to initial training programs, and on-site consultation to therapy personnel and support staff as follow-up to initial training programs.

Why Dementia Capable Care?
Quality dementia care starts with Dementia Capable Care. We focus on what people with Alzheimer’s and related dementias (ADRD) can still do instead of what they can’t do. Our training empowers you and your organization to provide unsurpassed person-centered care that helps persons with ADRD to thrive, not just survive.
"Professionals that come to our programs immediately feel this empowerment and impact of wow, you just took all those negative things and threw them aside and you're showing me what this person can do, and now I know how I can help." —Kim Warchol
