CPI: Dementia Capable Care, 2nd Edition is an evidence-based learning experience combining the Claudia Allen Model and the Crisis Development Model to create a person-centered and abilities-focused approach to caring for persons with dementia. Participants will be able to deliver sustainable training through our train-the-trainer program, focusing on promoting the highest level of function in meaningful daily activities, non-pharmacological approaches, and improved communications, while offering certifications to your staff – to ensure the Care, Welfare, Safety, and Security℠ for all.
The Dementia Capable Care (DCC) virtual program is divided into two teaching sessions, making it easy for participants to consume. The two sessions include online coursework and a live interactive instruction session. Here is what you can expect:
Pre-Training: Online Course (3-4 hours)
Before your live virtual training begins, you must complete an online course.
Live Virtual Training (8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.)
