NCITM Specialized Renewal: Autism Spectrum Disorder

In most organizations, the Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® Foundation Course offers the optimal mix of concepts and skills to safely address the behaviors staff encounter. However, if your organization supports people who are likely to demonstrate higher risk behaviors, this course gives you facilitation strategies and additional skills for teaching staff advanced physical interventions.

What Will I Learn?

You’ll experience the entirety of the Foundation Course, integrated with advanced strategies for decision making, deceleration,  and physical techniques. You’ll hone skills to manage higher risk behaviors along with how to teach these skills to staff.
 
With Professional Instructor guidance, you’ll practice content delivery and demonstrate your aptitude with teach-backs and a written exam. The program concludes with a deeper discussion about what it means to be a CPI Certified Instructor, roles and responsibilities, and strategies to assure that your staff provides Care, Welfare, Safety, and Security℠ to everyone in your organization.
 
If you are interested in the classroom-only format, the course is offered as a five-day certification or renewal. If you want to try our blended delivery, a four-day certification or renewal option is available too.
