Overview

Safety Interventions Advanced and/or Emergency training builds on the foundation programme and provides skills for people who work with individuals whose behavior may be more unpredictable and higher risk. This programme is only open to those certified instructors who have successfully completed the Safety Interventions Foundation Instructor Certification Programme.

The programme brings all sectors and professions together to help facilitate understanding and best practice for our most rigorous training.

How It Works

In-Person Training (2-4 Days)

Dependent on your chosen programme selection you will either attend a 2-day in-person event to qualify as an Advanced level instructor or a 4-day Advanced in-person event to qualify as an Emergency level instructor. The classroom event led by a Global Professional Instructor will train and assess your restrictive intervention skills as well as assess your competency in the overall program through teach-back exercises. Your classroom training will be conducted on the dates listed above.

How long is my training license valid for?: 12 months – after 12 months you are required to renew your license on one of our renewal programmes.
Once I am licensed who can I train?: Employees within my organisation.
What resources do I need to be able to deliver the training?: We have developed all the resources you need to deliver your organisations preferred approach e.g. Blended, Virtual or In-class training.
What support is available to me once I am certified?: You get free access to our instructor support team via email or telephone.
What are the technical requirements to access any online content?: You will only need a computer with an internet connection.
