Did you know that Beau Provence, Mandeville, Louisiana’s first and only memory care exclusive community, was honored for its ongoing commitment to excellence with CPI’s Distinguished Provider Award in December of 2014?

CPI recognized Beau Provence with the highest credential in memory care for the facility’s extensive dementia training program, consistent hiring practices and exceptional staff, person-centered and abilities-focused activity programs, therapeutic gardens, building design, and other initiatives that serve as a model of excellence for other memory care communities throughout the US.

“We’re pleased to present the Distinguished Provider Award to Beau Provence for its many initiatives and outstanding staff of specially trained caregivers who are passionate about enabling those living with dementia to thrive,” Kim Warchol, OTR/L, President and Founder of Dementia Care Specialists, said at the ceremony.

Extensive staff training is also key to Beau Provence’s commitment to providing exceptional care for residents and their families. Ongoing dementia care training is part of the routine for the community’s entire team. From the care partners who make up the activities staff to nurses, food service, housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance staff, everyone is trained in delivering a higher level of care.
The facility boasts two full-time memory care coordinators and around-the-clock nurses, as well as individualized wellness and fitness programs.
With as many as 16 million Americans projected to have Alzheimer’s disease by 2050, the quality of care provided by Beau Provence serves as a model by which to elevate the standard of memory care.
