CPI Safety Intervention™ Foundation training formerly known as MAPA®, incorporates trauma-informed and person-centred approaches. The programme is the perfect solution for professionals working in health, social care, and education who need to prevent and/or intervene in crisis situations. With a focus on prevention, it also teaches staff de-escalation skills as well as non-restrictive and restrictive interventions. CPI Verbal Intervention™ incorporates trauma-informed and person-centred approaches. The programme, which was formerly an element of MAPA®, trains staff to respond to crisis situations with a focus on prevention using verbal de-escalation skills and strategies where restraint is inappropriate.

The courses are designed for organisations that support individuals who are more likely to demonstrate more complex or extreme risk behaviours. They provide effective tools and decision-making skills to help staff manage these higher risk situations, while offering a wider array of verbal and physical intervention options. Please note, participants need to complete the Foundation programme before undertaking this programme. Training Certified by Bild-ACT under the Restraint Reduction Network Training Standards.
