With a focus on prevention, it also teaches staff de-escalation skills as well as non-restrictive and restrictive interventions. CPI Verbal Intervention™ incorporates trauma-informed and person-centred approaches. The programme trains staff to respond to crisis situations with a focus on prevention using verbal de-escalation skills and strategies where restraint is inappropriate.
CPI Safety Intervention™ Advanced/Advanced & Emergency programmes incorporate trauma-informed and person-centred approaches. The courses are designed for organisations that support individuals who are more likely to demonstrate more complex or extreme risk behaviours. They provide effective tools and decision-making skills to help staff manage these higher risk situations, while offering a wider array of verbal and physical intervention options.
