Benefits of Dementia Training

The Dementia Capable Care (DCC) training programme provides nursing and health care workers with the tools they need to be the best care partner for those living at different stages of dementia. It blends the Claudia Allen Cognitive Disabilities Model, showing you how to support persons at all cognitive levels and dementia stages, with Kitwood’s model of person-centred care and CPI’s verbal de-escalation techniques – to help drive measurable positive outcomes.

Knowledge and Experience

CPI has developed this programme alongside dementia specialist Kim Warchol, providing more than 60 years combined specialist experience of successfully delivering tried and tested workplace training programmes for people who work with those living with dementia.

Online and Virtual Class Delivery

Learning incorporates tablet-friendly online units with a live virtual class. This programme design means staff spend less time away from the front-line.

Evidence-Based

The course is based on the latest research and includes approaches that have a proven track record of effectiveness. It provides both Continuing Education Credits (CEC) and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Credits.
