CPI teaches professionals the skills to identify, prevent and de-escalate crisis in the workplace. With distinct levels of training, CPI offers solutions for every role and risk level, in every organisation.

We currently have over 38,000 Certified Instructors worldwide, 17,000+ partner organisations, 40+ years of experience, 15m+ trained professionals within 20+ countries. In summary, we have impacted on 300 million lives.

If that isn’t enough to convince you, there are also the following reasons to choose CPI.

RRN certified

Having set up the Restraint Reduction Network, in England, in 2017 before passing it to BILD, CPI has a rich history in setting and adhering to best practice, guidance and legislation as well as supporting our customers to do the same. We meet or exceed the Restraint Reduction Network Training Standards.

Consistency of delivery

Our instructors are all directly employed by CPI and offer a consistent high standard of training.

Sector experience

Our instructors all hold a wealth of experience in either the health and social care or education sectors. They're not just trained to train CPI programmes. We have a level of expertise unmatched by most other training providers.

MAPA® and Pivotal Education legacy

Always looking on how we can improve our programmes and move with the times, we've taken our well-known MAPA brand and adapted it into two distinct programmes, Safety Intervention and Verbal Intervention.

For the education sector, we've built on the Pivotal Education legacy a company set up by Paul Dix (author of When the Adults Change). CPI bought Pivotal Education in 2017 and we've since created the Classroom Culture training programme, taking the five pillars of Pivotal practice and developing into the Five Principles of CPI to further enhance our behaviour training offering for schools.

Flexible training

We offer blended training options (virtual and face to face) as well as in class training.

We run open 'train the trainer' programmes so you can have your own instructor or we can deliver training directly to your staff on your premises.

Programme content

Our programmes are evidenced based, trauma informed and we offer high levels of quality assurance.

Quick response

We can respond quickly to help with your organisation's immediate needs.

Ongoing customer support

We have a CPI trainer available Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm if you have any training queries, as well as our customer service team on hand for support.

Dedicated team member

Each customer organisation has a dedicated account manager. Not only that, but all CPI staff have the opportunity to experience the training CPI delivers so they can talk from first-hand experience.

Events

We deliver webinars targeted specifically at CIs and wider audiences and we organise other events both face to face and virtually. We run popular conferences, events and webinars at which you can hear expert opinion and keynotes as well as find about any additional training tips and programmes. It’s also a great networking opportunity.

Supporting resources

Blogs and other resources are available for free in our. Educators can email their questions about managing behaviour in their school and we'll address them on our Voices of CPI Q&A Forum page. We also have a sector specific monthly e-newsletter that you can sign up to.

Case studies

We have a number of customer success stories from customers so you can see the impact of our training across all our sectors. Once your training is complete and implemented, we can work with you on a case study for your organisation to showcase your success and values to governing bodies / organisations or those connected to your service users, patients or learners.
