Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® Hybrid Training



Same Blue CardTM – Different Path.
CPI’s hybrid training program provides the flexibility of conducting Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® training programs using a blended delivery model option that combines eLearning and classroom instruction. The blended learning path teaches the same proven skills, supports the same principles, promotes the same philosophy, and adheres to the same quality standards as traditional Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® training.

In the end your participants receive their Blue CardTM, just like in our traditional Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® training program, only they take a different path to get there.   

Blended Learning in 1, 2, 3.
CPI’s hybrid training consists of three basic elements.
  1. eLearning – The web-based instruction component is completed individually by the participants before they attend the face-to-face training session. Participants view and complete online presentations, activities, assessments, and scenarios for each unit of the program. The web-based instruction minimizes the time participants spend away from their jobs and provides additional time and opportunities for them to learn and review concepts and principles.
  1. Classroom – Led by a Certified Instructor, the face-to-face training builds on and reinforces the web-based instruction by providing participants opportunities to discuss, apply, and practice the Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® concepts and principles. Personal safety and physical interventions are taught and practiced during this portion of the program.
  1. The Blue CardTM – Once participants have successfully completed both the eLearning and classroom portions of the hybrid training, they’ll immediately receive their Blue CardTM confirmations. When they walk out of class, participants are fully prepared to provide the best Care, Welfare, Safety, and SecuritySM at your organization.
