Dementia Capable Care Workforce Leader recognition is for organizations that have made DCC training part of how they prepare their workforce. To qualify, train at least 75% of the direct care staff and care managers at the location applying for recognition in a Dementia Capable Care program. Any DCC training method counts, including train-the-trainer and direct delivery.

The DCC Learning Library keeps Dementia Capable Care skills growing after training ends. It is a collection of short, on-demand microlearning classes, offered as a value-add to organizations that employ at least one active DCC Certified Instructor who is training staff in DCC 2nd Edition. Qualifying organizations receive a free one-year subscription that renews while the organization continues to meet the requirements.
Staff who have completed DCC 2nd Edition training and hold the Specialist credential can use the library. Most classes come in two parts. Part one is a 15-15 to 25- minute video that staff watch on any device, alone or in a group led by their Certified Instructor. Part two is an optional instructor-led inservice of about 30 minutes that applies the topic with practical tools.
Classes cover DCC core topics such as early-stage and middle-stage dementia, problem-solving topics such as using DCC to prevent falls and reduce resistance to bathing, support for family caregivers, and advanced content for therapy and nursing professionals. Completing about three hours of classes can also renew the Specialist credential. A credential renewal fee applies.
