Key Features of the Safety Pod™ Training Programme
Enhanced Safety
The Safety Pod™ enhances both physiological and psychological safety, reducing the risk of harm during physical interventions. The semi-recumbent position of the Safety Pod™ is ergonomically designed to decrease negative impacts on lung function and increase comfort, supporting self-regulation and de-escalation.
Practical Skills
Participants will learn the correct procedures to prepare and transport the Safety Pod™, as well as how to apply physical intervention skills to maximise safety and minimise harm. These skills are crucial in situations where behaviour poses an imminent risk of harm to self or others.
Tailored Learning
Our training sessions can accommodate up to 24 participants, ensuring personalised attention and hands-on practice. The programme’s length is 3 hours and 15 minutes, providing comprehensive training in a manageable timeframe.
