Head of Sales Australia and New Zealand

The Head of Sales is accountable for ANZ Sales development and overall Sales performance, the profitable achievement of Sales goals, and for aligning Sales objectives with CPI’s business strategy. The role is intended to enable CPI to continue to develop and maximise presence and growth potential in Australia and New Zealand.
 
The Head of Sales is required to be a motivated self-starter, capable of leveraging existing markets and of driving the CPI business into new markets. Head of Sales reports to the Director of International Sales, CPI International.
 
Day-to-day tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Aligns the Sales objectives with CPI’s business strategy through active participation in corporate strategic planning, Sales strategy development, forecasting, sales resource planning, and budgeting, is responsible for developing and meeting the company’s annual ANZ sales budget and three-year strategic plan sales targets
  • Accountable for developing an effective Australian & New Zealand Sales team, including Sales job roles and Sales resource deployment
  • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume, market share, and other key financial performance objectives.
  • Able to develop and nurture new strategic customer relationships whilst effectively managing existing customer accounts
  • Accountable for driving increased marketing -qualified leads and overall company revenue
  • Leads initiatives impacting International Sales.
  • Establishes and governs Sales performance management system
  • Provides leadership to International Sales
  • Accountable for the Sales Operations. Proactively assesses existing Operations support. Ensures support investments yield productivity benefits consistent with established objectives. Provides managerial leadership to Sales Operations in meeting this responsibility and works closely to ensure technology initiatives are implemented.
  • Identifies and monitors competitor activity, threats, and opportunities
  • Identify potential acquisition targets that enable the strategic growth ambitions of CPI
  • Establishes and maintains productive peer-to-peer relationships with customers and prospects.
  • Achieves assigned organisational objectives for Sales
  • Meet Personal Sales Target. 
Competencies:
  • Achieves assigned organisational objectives for sales, profits, volume, product mix, and other strategic goals.
  • Sales Management skills in cross-functional, cross-location teams
  • Lead, motivate and collaborate with others.
  • Influence and collaborate cross functionally to deliver best business results
  • Belief that all business opportunities start with knowledge of how to create value for a customer
  • Experienced in management of business functions and processes (e.g., sales, marketing, training)
  • knowledge of financial sales cycle (e.g., investment, payback, ROI)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including presentation
  • Must be a self-starter and possess the ability to set the vision, build plans, then drive activities and meet deadlines consistently
Qualifications/Education and Experience:
  • 6+ years of experience in Sales Management.
Job Conditions/Work Location
  • The role will be based in Australia, ideally near to the Sydney office. This is a hybrid role and so flexible working can be considered. International travel to other CPI offices might also be required. This role will require the individual to have a valid Passport and an International Driving License.

Sales Support / Account Manager Australia and New Zealand

The Sales Support / Account Manager (SSAM) will work with the Head of Sales and support the ANZ sales team with a retention and growth target across a range of sectors including H&S Care & Education sector. Accounts provided work will be at the discretion of the Head of Sales.  We’re looking for an ambitious, organised, proactive individual looking for their first or a continued step in Account Management, Sales Support and Business development.

We don’t expect applicants to have extensive sector experience, however proven effective account management, sales support and/or sales track record is desired. Training will be provided to help adapt your skills to this role. Over time we expect that the successful applicant will develop within the company and specialise their skills.
 
Day-to-day tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Accountable for 2022 personal retention and growth target within a designated set of accounts /sectors and within ANZ.
  • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume, market share, and other key financial performance objectives
  • Comfortable on the phone and able to develop and nurture existing customer relationships
  •  Identify growth opportunities via phone / social media activity
  • Achieves assigned organisational objectives for ANZ Sales team
  • Provides sales team support and processes 
Competencies:
  • PC Literate, familiar with sales processes
  • Commutable to Sydney office with occasional customer visits to territory
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate with others
  • Able to demonstrate ability to communicate with different contacts within account base
  • Belief that all business opportunities start with knowledge of how to create value for a customer
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including presentation
  • Must be a self-starter and meet deadlines consistently 
Qualifications/Education and Experience:
  • Qualified to minimum AQF Secondary Certificate of Education. Tertiary Education & Experience in a sales role preferred but not a pre-requisite 
Job Conditions/Work Location
  • Based out of the Sydney office.  The role will involve occasional travel within the ANZ.
