What Does Trauma-Informed Training Involve?
Trauma can shape how people perceive and respond to everyday interactions, often affecting behavior in ways that are not immediately obvious. This training teaches staff how a trauma-informed approach to de-escalation differs from standard crisis intervention by focusing on understanding underlying needs and preventing re-traumatization. Participants learn to respond with greater awareness, communicate more effectively during moments of distress, and create safer, more supportive interactions that foster trust.
